Coral reefs: fragile giants

Coral reefs are like underwater villages. They represent only 0.2% of the ocean floor but are home to 30% of marine species known to date. Since a large number of reefs are disappearing with the warming of the ocean, studying this fragile and threatened ecosystem is a priority for the Tara Expeditions Foundation.
