Cordia africana

Cordia africana is a deciduous tree with rounded crown and often crooked trunk, 4-15m.It is Fairly fast growing and adapted to a large range of habitats from forest edges to wooded grasslands and tolerant to a wide range of soil types. It can act as pioneer species on forest fringes. It is planted in mixed stands at Tooro Botanical Gardens and its branching patterns establish a baseline for Bee catchhives installed in gardens.
