These corn cobs show the difference in length and number of rows between the corn grown by the Ancestral Pueblo people and modern varieties. Like the 'Indian corn' found in markets today around Thanksgiving, the kernels would have been multi-colored. Once thoroughly dried, the corn could be stored for years.
