Seventeenth-nineteenth century collection currently consisting of 752 samples of stones and marbles. The finds are tile-shaped, partly wooden framed and come from two different series, originally separated but grouped together later on: one originally belonging to the Padua abbot Don Basilio Terzi, the other owned by Count Marco Corniani degli Algarotti, who in fact expanded his own collection in 1808 by purchasing the abbot's one. The rock types are very heterogeneous and originate mainly from Veneto; they are therefore a valuable reference for the study of the historical lapideous materials used for constructions, both ordinary and monumental, in Veneto and the neighboring regions.
