Cornish Unit houses, Marley Road, Hoo St Werburgh, Medway

The designs for the Cornish Unit were finalised by 1946. In the following ten years more than 40,000 were built by local authorities. They were the product of the English China Clay Company in Cornwall and used waste material from china play pits in the concrete aggregate.
