Scene depicted inside a large hall flanked by columns with mural painting and crystal chandeliers representing the coronation of Dom Pedro II. On the right, at the top of a stairway under a green and yellow canopy, a red and gold throne with Dom Pedro II standing in profile in front, crowned, carrying a staff on his right arm raised, his left arm flexed at the waist . Beside him, an ecclesiastical figure dressed in white and gold, holding a staff, his arm raised to the left, pointing to the people who flock to the hall. There is also a male figure carrying a Brazilian flag, a nobleman, a group of soldiers (green uniform with white pants) and two children in green clothes. In the lower right corner, a table covered with red and gold fabric with coronation vestments: cloak, sword, pair of gloves, armed hat. On the left, a group of priests carry a large golden cross, two altar boys accompany the figures. In the background, in the center, you can see two women in white suits. A large number of people attend the coronation.
