The documents record the name of each peasant who participated in the consignment as well as the manor from which the wagon and horse were from. Often there were more detailed descriptions of the horses (colour and gender). The horse-drawn trains of wagons were dispatched in autumn 1812. Records were kept on the returning wagons, but the statistics are fairly grim. The peasants who returned were in awoeful state and ill, and the horses went missing.
