On April 19, 1872, it was registered in Barcelona under the name “Dolores”, with the Garriga y Baldiris company as its owner. In 1883, the ship was acquired by the Gusi company, being purchased on October 6 by Francesc Gusi i Mercader and Francesc Sala i Coll, who renamed it the “Cataluña”. On August 23, 1887, the corvette Cataluña was wrecked on the Bahama Banks, with the entire crew surviving.
