This costume was designed by Riette Sturge Moore for Director Peter Hall's 1959 production of Coriolanus. It was worn by Actor Laurence Olivier in the title role. The breastplate is a brown leather tunic with copper foil medallions lined with brown braid. The robe is a russet shoulder drape backed with gold lurex and lined with orange netting. It has pleats at the shoulder with a gold medallion.
