A silver 8 reales Charles IV coin. The front shows a portrait of Charles IV facing right. The back features a crowned shield between pillars, historical Spanish coat of arms. The coin has had an octagonal hole punched through the centre. This coin was produced as general circulation coinage in Mexico and has a Mexico City mint mark, but was countermarked for circulation in Tobago.
