Course of the journey of Ferdinand Magellan in an attempt to travel the Strait. From the location of the Cape of Saint Augustine.
The annotations of the course attributed to Francisco Albo commence from 1519: specifically, "Tuesday, the 29th day of the month of November [...] being in the location of the Cape of Saint Augustine and on a latitude 7 degrees south of the equator, and away from said Cape, 27 leagues to the southeast [sic]." The last annotation corresponds to September 4, 1522, informing that "in the morning we reached land and were at the Cape of Saint Augustine, and were to the northeast."
