Covered vessel in gilt, enameled, cut, clear glass. It is a Viennese design from Hans Bolek, which follows the Austrian philosophy of the Wiener Werkstätte, where the ornament was defined by its extension throughout all the surface of the piece and by the preference of plain shapes.
The decoration is based on the combination of stems in spirals and heart-shaped leaves that contrast with the geometrical shapes. Made in 1914, it featured in the German Werkbund Exhibition in Cologne, where the Austrian Werkbund had its own pavilion.
