This note, penned by John Ryle Wood, the Chaplain to Queen Adelaide, is part of the Historical Relics Collection (Queen Adelaide Collection). The QAC represents the continuous links between the British Empire and the colony in South Australia. This note, which accompanies a letter written by Princess Augusta of Cambridge, was donated along with a collection of other objects that once belonged to Queen Adelaide, to the Art Gallery of South Australia, by Queen Mary. The collection was later transferred to the History Trust of South Australia.
