Green crepe yuzen-dyed with an all over pattern of large paulownia trees with leaves and flowers. On the back a very large phoenix rests in the tree and its tail feathers extend over the sleeves and the shoulders trailing down the front of the yogi to below the waistline. Accents of embroidery in orange, possibly safflower dyed, yellow, green and white silk and gold wrapped thread. Some motifs are stencilled paste resist dyed, kata yuzen, to imitate the tie-dying called hitta. This is called suri hitta, false or imitation hitta.
