Cow in a Cabbage Field

For the cabbages, Koller used his large study from 1857, inv. 624. Koller painted a repetition of the same size, somewhat more summarily executed.
A larger version of this theme with three cows was exhibited in Munich in 1858 and attracted attention with its bold colouring in green and blue.
