Kintsugi is a method of repairing ceramics by filling in the missing parts with lacquer and covering the lacquer with gold. Rather than hiding the repaired parts, this technique was born from a unique Japanese aesthetic that decorates repaired parts with a new design that can be enjoyed in its own way.
