About the craft: Bohada masks are a powerful expression of Maharashtra’s tribal living heritage, associated with several tribal communities across the region. Handcrafted using natural materials like paper mâché, clay, and local gum, these masks come alive during the three-day Bohada festival, where each of the songas (upto 60 in number) is worshipped and their stories are narrated in ceremonial village processions.
