The art form resembling a stencil cut is a combination of art and craft called Sanjhi. The traditional scene of Krishna and Radha at Vrindavan, along with the woven and embroidered motifs found on the famed textiles of the state are created by a mere pair of scissors and paper. Fluorescent coloured papers evocative of those used at the festival of Holi are placed underneath to add brightness. The textile map shows an image of a Varanasi flower motif replicated in paper art.
