According to Crayola's website, the crayon color that the company had called "Flesh" was changed to "Peach" in 1962 in recognition of the multitude of skin hues. More recently, Crayola brought out this set of multicultural crayons in eight shades: mahogany, peach, burnt sienna, sepia, apricot, black, white, and tan. As the back of the box explains, "Crayola Multicultural Crayons contain 8 different skin colors to represent people from around the world."
