Kong Liang is the younger son of Squire Kong, he is nicknamed "Lonely Fiery Star". He is a good-looking man seven chi tall, with a round face, large ears, wide lips and squarish mouth. He is impatient and tends to get into quarrels with others. Kong Liang is one of the leaders of the Liangshan infantry and one of the Central Camp Defendant Generals. In the end, he accidentally falls into the river and drowns during the campaign against the rebel leader Fang La.
