Taken from Ian Allan Collections. Crediton station, Devon, on the London and South Western Railway in 1880. A worker is standing on the track and a train is waiting in the station. This station had mixed gauge track because it was served by standard gauge passenger trains of the London and South Western Railway and broad gauge freight trains from the Great Western Railway (formerly the Bristol and Exeter Railway before 1876).
