This textile work won the 2017 Golden Textures exhibition at Central Goldfields Art Gallery (Maryborough, Victoria, Australia). Since moving to the Lake Macquarie (NSW, Australia) area in 2003, Hooworth's work has been influenced and inspired by Dora Creek which flows near her home. During walks along its banks she has recorded her impressions with photographs, notes and drawings. She is interested in the patterns created by the movement of light on water and the colours and moods created by changes in the weather day by day. She is passionate about the preservation of the creek and its natural surrounds.
