Born in Seville, Cristina Hoyos began dancing at the age of 12 in the children's show "Galas Juveniles". Her teachers include Adelita Domingo and Enrique El Cojo. She has received numerous awards and prizes, including the National Dance Prize, the Gold Medal of Andalusia, the Gold Medal of Fine Arts, the Andalusian Culture Prize, the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Government, the Max Awards for Best Dance Performer and the Compás del Cante.
Manolo Sanlúcar, composer and concert performer, was born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz). His father, Isidro Muñoz, introduced him to the world of flamenco guitar at the age of seven. He began his professional career as a guitar accompanist before the age of 14. His awards include the National Guitar Prize (Cátedra Andaluza de Flamenco in Granada, 1972), First Prize at the World Flamenco Festival and the National Flamenco Prize (Cátedra Andaluza de Flamenco in Granada, 1973). Guitar (Campione, Italy, 1972), First Prize in the National Guitar Competition of Córdoba, the Medal of Andalusia, the Compás del Cante Award, the National Music Award, the Puerta de Alcalá Award and the Pastora Pavón Niña de los Peines Award from the Culture Department of the Regional Government of Andalusia.
