Generally, crocodile inhabits a freshwater environment - rivers, swamps and other wetlands. However, the estuarine crocodile lives in brackish water. As a predator, a crocodile moves fast over short distances. They wait for their prey to come close and attack by pouncing and biting it with its powerful jaws and sharp teeth.
