Croome Court and landscape park was created for the sixth Earl of Coventry in the mid-18th century. Inspired by the Grand Tour and classical philosophies, the Earl engaged Lancelot 'Capability' Brown to design the house (with advice from Sanderson Miller) and the parkland. It was Brown's first independent commission.
