Two horses are standing in a freshwater pond and one is drinking water. A circle shows some of the micro life that thrives in the murky water of the pond. There are many horse hoofprints along the shore.

At the back of the illustration is a fence that is part of an exclosure around an area that the horses cannot access. The marram grass and plants in the enclosed area are much taller and fuller than the area where the horses are grazing.
