The Cross presents dynamic lateral storiettes of the Passion of Christ, in which the Christus Patiens with his deeply afflicted and aching body, recalls the work of the Byzantin style of Giunta Pisano but like in an illuminated manuscripts. In the final sections of the cross: on the top the Assumption of the Virgin, with a Blessing God; on the left the Virgin and Magdalen, on the right the three Mary.
