Crown Prince Gustaf's Seal

King Gustaf V was in many ways an unassuming, modern and popular man. He smoked cigarettes, played tennis and was often called “Mr G”. This seal, from his period as Crown Prince, could be taken as a sign of this un-presumptuousness. The design is more of a crowned monogram, than a coat of arms.
