Top view of a male Evenus coronata, or Crowne Hairstreak butterfly, from Baños, Ecuador. This species occurs in cloud forest from Peru north to the mountains of Mexico, but it is a very rare species in Central America. Its caterpillars eat the leaves of trees in the Sapotaceae.
