Glenn Hammond Curtiss came to be known as "The Father of Naval Aviation" and "Founder of the American Aircraft Industry". He was a remarkable engineer, beginning his career as a successful motorcycle manufacturer. Curtiss was a fierce competitor in all of his endeavors. This trophy is one awarded to Curtiss for winning the fifth prize at the First Annual Archery-Golf Tournament of the Palms Country Club Estate in Florida, 1928.
