The “Jenny” served as a primary training aircraft for U.S. combat pilots during World War I. Following the war, the aircraft became a favorite of civilian pilots through the 1920s. This particular aircraft, serial number 4072, was the fourth from the last aircraft built by Liberty Iron Works and was shipped to Dallas Love Field in 1918 to train U.S. combat pilots. Over 90 years later, the aircraft returned to Love Field after a meticulous two-decade restoration.
