Ads Essnawi - is the name referring to the lentils previously grown around the town of Esna. Previously famous and grown in abundance in Esna, it now is no longer grown locally but still proudly served as a traditional dish. People love to eat lentil soup in the winter months.

These materials were developed by the “Rediscovering Esna’s Cultural Heritage Assets” (RECHA) Project. The RECHA Project has given us permission to use the materials and distribute any modifications under a similar license.”
