Cycladic male figurine of the post-canonical type

This lead figurine of a male is one of the very rare examples of metal figurines from the Early Bronze Age Cyclades. During that period, metals were still hard to acquire and were used mainly for the manufacture of tools and weapons. There are only a few examples of figurines made of bronze or lead. The posture and morphological details of the figurine are reminiscent of marble examples of the "post-canonical" type, suggesting that we should date it to the transition from the Early Cycladic II to the Early Cycladic III period, i.e. around 2300 BC.
