"Mural painting ensemble dedicated to Saint Bartholomew life and martyrdom, it comes from Saint Bartholomew chapel, attached to the Saint Cristobal of Villalba de Perejiles (Zaragoza). It belonged to M.D. Jesus Perez Rosales collection.

The hagiographic sequence started with the exorcism of a possessed by the devil during his stage in India. It follows the baptism of a converted group. The daughter of the King Polimius is liberated from the Devil. The saint rejection of the king presents. The moment that the devil comes up form an idol. He is carried in front of the king Astíages, his flagellation. When he was skinned, another shows the sermon with his skin on his shoulders, the saint’s decapitation and finally the raise of his soul to heaven."

The palette based on reds, beige and light blue, figures silhouetted on monochrome background and black outline are characteristics that identifies these paintings with the first gothic influenced by France, known as lineal gothic or French gothic.
