Since 1974, a UN-administered Buffer Zone has divided the island of Cyprus, bisecting communities with barbed wire and concrete walls. Entire villages, neighbourhoods and an international airport lie abandoned within the vast No Man’s Land. Today, Cypriots are increasingly challenging the political divisions within Cypriot society and resisting the power of the Buffer Zone. This is story of one such person, and her bicycle.
