Cylinders 7

84” x 36”, digital media dye sublimated to Chromaluxe aluminum. Cylinders 7 is the result of artistic experimentation with software generally intended for architectural or mechanical work. At the time it was created I was feeling a strong desire to create something more free and artistic than the architecture I was producing, but was still intrigued by the technical aspects of the tools I was using for that work. I saw great potential for something new and exciting that I had not personally seen in the art world. When Cylinders 7 was accepted into the ArtPOP program in 2016 I was truly surprised. I thought what I had created was unique and interesting but I never really expected it to get this kind of attention. I continue to strive toward an artistic career and I am making headway. Cylinders 7, through ArtPOP, provided a turning point that has allowed me to get closer to my goal to become a full time artist
