"Céčka" were originally made as individual pieces of interior curtains that could easily be joined in chains. They represent one of the historical artefacts in which the original function was completely substitued by thesecondary function. In the 1980s, "Céčka" gained popularity as a toy, and for a considerable proportion of teenagers became a sought after and wanted collector article. In addition to the traditional C shape, there were other shapes, such as S, D and §. "Céčka" also served as a fashion accessory.
