D-DAY 70th Anniversary #DDAYHANGOUT

The Hangout with D-Day veterans allowed anybody, anywhere to hear direct from veterans on their D-Day experiences. It took place live from the Caen War Memorial at 6 p.m. Central Europe time on June 4th 2014. French television journalist Anne-Claire Coudray (TF1) hosted and Caen Memorial historian Christophe Prime lended his expertise.

American, French and British veterans participated: Colette Marin-Catherine, French nurse, Tony Vaccaro, American GI and photograph, Claude Rosa, French soldier in Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres and Eric Rackham veteran who fought in the British Army, shared their memories of their D-Day.
