D. Pedro II at the opening of the General Assembly

The screen depicts a ceremony held twice a year, opening and closing of the General Assembly. This was the only time of the year when Pedro II was seen with full majestic costume, crown and scepter . In addition to the Emperor in the foreground, we have portrayed the nobles as the Viscount of Abaeté who was the president of the Senate to the epoch and also the counter, the Empress , d. Teresa Cristina , Princess Isabel and her husband, the Earl d'Eu .
