A dabna is a food cloche made of metal strips used to cover vessels filled with milk, curd, buttermilk or ghee to keep it safe from pets and rodents. A coat of oil paint was applied on the dabna to prevent it from corroding. A metal ring at the top helps in holding the dabna to move it around easily.
