The Daegu citizen hall was born on October 5, 1975, in Taepyeong-ro 2-ga, Jung-gu, Daegu, as the only comprehensive performance hall in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area. It consists of 1,618-seat grand performance hall, a multi-purpose performance hall with orchestra pit and rotating stages, a 342-seat small auditorium suitable for small meetings and performances, and an exhibition hall with three small and medium-sized exhibition rooms. It was designed by Kim In-ho (1932-1988), a representative architect of Daegu, and the eaves and pillars of the grand performance hall are representative architectural assets of the region with valuable cultural values.
