Franck was actually the pseudonym of the French François-Alexandre-Louis-Marie de Gobinet Villecholles, portrait Parisian aristocrat who came to Barcelona, fleeing the revolution in 1848. He became a photographer highlights of Barcelona in the early years of photography. His studio was located in the center of the Rambla, number 18. This piece is signed on the surface of the daguerreotype.
