The Dahlbusch rescue bomb is a capsule that can be used to rescue trapped miners by pulling these miners back up through a bore hole. It received its name from the Dahlbusch mine in Gelsenkirchen were it was tested for the first time in 1955. It was also used to transport equipment at narrow passages.
