    NEW INDUSTRY FOR WELSH GIRLS. WELSH WS/MA The making of artificial flowers for buttonholes and hat decoration is one of the new industries now in full swing at Treforest Estate. The Welsh girls have proved themselves adept at the work which requires delicate touch. A considerable amount of the work is exported to the Empire which was previously supplied by Germany who held 80% of the export trade in artifical flowers.
