Daily Herald Photograph: Painting drum shells

One photograph of a man painting a drum shell titled 'Drums'. Caption on back reads: 'To a soldier, the emblazonry on a drum - the regimental crest and battle honours - is one of its chief glories. Above a heraldic artist is putting the finishing touches to the brass ' shell of a Grenadier Guards drum. All the work is done by hand, and colours and detail of crest must be absolutely accurate.
