One photograph of spidermen working on a Scotch Derrick crane above Manchester. Caption on back reads: 'Today’s highest workers … spidermen feeding the cable through the jib-arm of a Scotch Derrick, 250 high about M/cr, on the 19th floor level of the new CIS building project in Miller St., M/cr. The derrick will enable work to be completed on the last 6 storeys up. (The jib-arm had been hoisted from ground level earlier by another crane). The arm is 120ft long and weighs 7 tons'.
