Considering that its name was included in the list made in 1932 of the garments owned by the King Yeongchin's second son Yi Gu, this robe was made for the imperial child to celebrate his first birthday.
The robe is marked by the use of four large panels, wide sleeves with open armpits, and black edges containing auspicious decorative motifs such as bat and flowers.
