Ticio Escobar claims that in the visual universe of Ricardo Migliorisi (1948-2019) 'mestizo characters, animals and implausible objects taken from classical mythology, characters from Latin American popular repertoires, opera, and cabaret; from the aesthetics of the Music Hall, television and social chronicles' coexist. Migliorisi’s creative capacity seems, in fact, to have no limits; not only did he develop his work extensively as a painter, but he also worked as an actor, scenographer, costume designer and even as an architect. His varied interests are amply expressed in his artistic work, from his tendency to incorporate bright and vivid colors, textures, and fairy atmospheres, such as "Dama descansando" ('Lady Resting'). In it, a nude woman, possibly an actress, poses wrapped in a lilac cloth with golden details, whose movement flows in the same direction as her wavy hair.
