Zhang Shun is a man six chi tall, with a fair complexion and a beautiful beard. He is nicknamed "White Stripe in the Waves" because of his powerful swimming and diving skills. He and his elder brother, Zhang Heng, used to live in Jieyang Ridge and worked as fishermen. Zhang Shun is one of the leaders of the Liangshan navy. At last, he is killed by the enemy general Fang Tianding during the campaign against the rebel leader Fang La.
