This installation belongs to Ruiz de Infante’s “duos” series. The artist proposed two separate spaces (in this case, one is a long corridor) infused with two similar experiences. Two falsely symmetrical rooms are “discovered” by the viewer over the course of a more or less significant lapse of time. As such, within the labyrinth of the exhibition Made by... Feito por Brasileiros, perceptive memory and retinal persistence come into play in order to overlay the proposed realities (inside/outside, alive/dead, pure/sullied, empty/full). In each space, the windows are painted black and a large, vertical image is projected onto the wall with violently shimmering light. This image is a new window, looking onto a kitchen with a window of its own, framing the still-life of a garden outside.
